Jetstar‘s first Boeing 787 was delivered from Everett direct to Melbourne on 6th October.
The aircraft, VH-VKA, will join the Qantas low-cost arm flying domestic flights initially, before being deployed on flights to Honolulu, Phuket and Singapore (see our 787 Routes Page)
The airline has a total of 14 787 Dreamliners on order and expects to fly an all-787 long-haul fleet by 2015.
