Biman Bangladesh Airlines, one of the few remaining operators of the Airbus A310, will retire the type from its fleet in September.

After completing flight assignments for the Hajj pilgrimage, Biman is set to place the two aircraft, S2-ADF and S2-ADK, into storage pending a fate of scrapping or onward sale.

The airline has been modernizing its fleet in recent years and will replace its lost A310 capacity with new Boeing 737-800s. Biman already operates four of the type, along with Boeing 777-200/300 and Bombardier Q400 turboprops.
